Sandos Caracol Nature Resort & Water Park

Our wedding at Sandos was unforgettable. We were so hesitant at the beginning of our planning because we had never stayed at this resort and we were not sure what to expect. However, the service, coordination, and experience was incredible and I am so happy I picked Sandos out of all the other resorts that host weddings. Our guests enjoyed the nature, wildlife, activities, beach, and beautiful Mayan culture. The only thing we wish could improve was the restaurant situation, most of them close early and it is difficult to get reservations at the “à la carte” restaurants, so you become limited with options. Additionally, we had some issues with our guests checking in and receiving the wrong rooms. However, as far as everything else the process and communication with staff was smooth and any questions or concerns were promptly addressed. Our wedding coordinator, Carlos Marroquín, was AMAZING. He really brought my vision to life and everything came out so perfectly I was shocked!! He made things less stressful and was so helpful every step of the way. He left such a great impression we will remember him forever. THANK YOU CARLOS AND SANDOS TEAM, we absolutely loved our wedding experience.

Guillermo was our excellent eco tour guide today and taught us a lot about Mayan and Aztec history! Saw lots of iguanas too and a monkey Excellent meals at all the restaurants especially Riviera and Los Lirios! Excellent staff including Mauricio, Luciano, Luis, and Alesandro. Also friendly and kind hostesses sat all the locations. We had an issue with noise outside our room and the staff dealt with it right away. All the staff have been friendly and helpful. An amazing stay! Also enjoyed walking around the resort and discovering the Cinotes and tunnels. Love seeing all the wild animals too! Lovely supper at Las Toscana with Rafael and Keren as our servers! Quick service and tasty salad and dessert buffet! The chicken Parmesan was delicious! Well done!

Rooms, property and aqua park were awesome, our girls loved the wild life. Lots of walking but we dont mind, definitely dont get bored here. The food and entertainment could be better. More entertainment for the kids would be nice rather than 9 pm shows. They enjoyed the mini disco. If there was a better way of booking the a la carte rather than midnight on the app would change this to a 5/5. We ate at the Italian restaurant and the food was absolutely amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment. The place is surrounded by amazing nature – there were so many beautiful animals and incredible plants everywhere, which made the whole experience feel very special and unique. The staff were always friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the very beginning. There were plenty of attractions and activities, so we were never bored. The rooms were large, comfortable, and very spacious, perfect for a family stay. The food was delicious with a great variety to choose from each day. We travelled with our 7-year-old son, and he absolutely loved everything – there was always something exciting for him to do. The beach is absolutely breathtaking – truly one of the most beautiful views we have ever seen. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back again.

We got to experience the sensory experience tour. It was amazing and the staff Ignacio, Mariah, Jocelyn were super friendly and made us feel so comfortable and reminded us to love the inner self. It was one of the best sensory experience. We had a 5 night and 6 days stay and we enjoyed every bit of it. It was so hot but was totally expected. This resort is nature friendly and for food there is something for everyone . Overall I loved it

I recently stayed at Sandos Caracol Nature Resort with my mom to celebrate my birthday and Chinese New Year, and overall we had a very pleasant experience. The resort has a beautiful natural setting surrounded by jungle and wildlife, which made the stay feel unique and relaxing. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the resort, and we really appreciated their hospitality. The food was good overall, with plenty of options at the buffet and restaurants. One thing to note is that the specialty restaurants require reservations in advance, and it can be quite difficult to secure a booking. It would be great if the resort could make this process a bit easier for guests. Overall, it was a lovely trip and a special way to celebrate with my mom. I would definitely recommend it for people who enjoy nature and a relaxing resort atmosphere.

Love this place!! This resort is so unique! Nothing like it! Our waiters/waitress, yessica and felipe at the buffet were amazing! Our drinks were never empty! Abraham even went above and beyond to make us special drinks. We have a party of 6 so its not always easy. Passion drinks are a win!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Sandos Caracol Eco Resort! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and exceptional service. The entire resort feels like a tropical paradise tucked into the jungle, with beautiful pathways, wildlife, and even cenotes right on the property — such a unique and unforgettable experience! The beach was absolutely stunning, with soft sand and crystal-clear water. There were always plenty of loungers available, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The pools were just as impressive — clean, spacious, and perfect whether you wanted to relax or join in on the fun activities. The food exceeded our expectations! There was a huge variety at the buffet, and the specialty restaurants were delicious. Every meal felt fresh and flavorful, with plenty of options for everyone. What truly made our stay special was the staff. Every team member went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Their friendliness and attention to detail made us feel genuinely valued.
